I am not a fairy girl, but my partner for this swap is. She also said that brown and green were her favorite colors...voila!
Acrylic paint and ink on recycled cardboard, fairies and poem from a 1920's children's book, and you probably can't see them here, but I added some little green beads.

Created for a swapbot "Addicted to Mailart" swap. My partner liked fairies, but I don't tend to have any fairy images lying around. Serendipity! I bought a set of 1920's story books at a flea market that had fairy stories in it.
The base for this is a map index of Pennsylvania, where my partner lives. Unfortunately, her town ended up under a fairy...

5 / Green fairy
Today was my mail art day. My room was filled with magazines, paper piles and patterns stacks. I was making and making postcards all day long!
My first postcard was very simple. In old magazine found fragrance advertisement with girl who looks like fairy. I cut her off and found really colorful pattern for background. Some glue strokes and my postcard is completed!
4-19-11 The Red Fairy Queen
Loving my brushes! I used about 20 brushes in this piece about a fairy queen deep in the forest.
4-17-11 Twinks
Twinks, my happy fairy, and the little twinks in the sky. Except for the fairy herself, everything else in this piece was done with my new photoshop brushes. Love them! It's like giving a child a new box of crayons -- one of the really big boxes!!!!
