Thanks for visiting Mailart 365. This site is an archive of mailart produced by artists doing mailart 365 from December 2010 to August 2016. As of July 2016, we moved to a new and more modern site at www.mailart365.com. Come on over and check us out there
9/365, Sad skies
Recovery card for 1/27- no more flu bug!! Felt is more fun than I remember!
8/365, Quote for Pooh
I really enjoy quotes & this one just touched my heart! It's simple but moving. This is for 1/26 for flu recovery.
7/365, Snowflakes
This one is for 1/25. I've been down with the flu but playing with yarn. This is simply a deep wool sky with shiny white cotton yarn flakes.
6/365, Embracing the Winter Snow
Trying to clean through all my craft stuff this week & thought I'd use a few inspiring pieces! Those insane rub-ons are WAY more of a pain than I remembered but the white-out turned out looking great minus a few mess ups. I like how it turned out & I'm sending it to a friend in CA who, for some strange reason, is actually missing winter!!
Longing for my roses! 5/365
After last night's ice storm, I find myself longing for a blossoming garden! Did this simple sketch quickly & am sending it to a fellow gardening friend! Sketched in Sharpie pen (the best pen ever!), then went over in markers to fill & blossom everything out.
Wishful Thinking of Summer! 4/365
I think my favorite part about summer is the fresh fruit & veggies from our farm's garden. It was absolutely worth all the cutting & trimming to get this happy picture of springtime when we're expecting ice storms tonight!
I'm really enjoying experimenting with different artistic techniques here so thanks for the opportunity & I can't wait to crack open my new paints ;)
Beaver Buddy! 3/365
Had to skip a day being away from home :( But this is a post card for a young friend in VA! He turned out a little confused, lol!
2/365, Inspired by The Yellow Submarine's Sea of Holes- gotta love the Beatles!
1 of 365- Ballroom Blitz
First piece up, inspired by an awesome song on the radio! Materials- cardstock, yarn & it wouldn't be a blitz without glitter!! I really like how the textures of the yarn turned out in person, it's hard to see the detail in the picture. This card is headed to WV!
