10 Manilla Board Backed Envelopes 22 October 2011 (#236)

Saturday, October 22, 2011
Started with the envelope packaging and then just added a few other postal elements, such as the stamps and airmail stickers, making it positively postal - what else!?

Take a look at this piece on the Positively Postal website plus a great artistamp marking CAPS LOCK day and a piece sent in by Pone and now received, many thanks!

Fishing in Italy for coins 26 September 2011 (#212)

Monday, September 26, 2011
Had some Italian stamps from an envelope at work which escaped cancellation and appear to depict fishing. I then added these coins images which were taken from remnants of an old Prestige stamp book. Might need to go fishing for some coins myself as now near the end of the month and not much money left!

Postal Pieces 25 September 2011 (#211)

Sunday, September 25, 2011
Moving to a smaller house earlier this year meant putting some stuff I should really get rid of into storage. Hannah and I went to the storage unit for the first time in ages and collected a small amount (no car so limited by what we could carry)which although small was particularly heavy!
Anyway, in amongst it all was this piece which I made last year as the backdrop for the Positively Postal Advent Calendar. I like it a lot so I'm not sure I want to send it off but thought I'd share it here and glad I hadn't thrown it away! Made up of a load of postally used stamps and associated postal markings.

Yellow Lines leading to 15 May 2011 (#93)

Monday, May 16, 2011

Fallen a little behind with all of this as I was rather unwell from a night out on Saturday(!) so may take a day or two to get back into the swing. Anyhow here are some yellow lines stuck on a map which came from a Heathrow Airport Noise Limitation document plus a few bits stuck at the end of them which I'd been saving for such an occasion.

Yellow Lines leading to + Friday 13th 13 May 2011 (#91)

Friday, May 13, 2011
The map background and the yellow lines came from a Heathrow Airport Noise Limitation document, put through the letter box, and I found the "airmail", "signature required" and green cross in amongst bits and pieces I've been saving for an occasion just like this! Also couldn't let Friday 13th pass by....
