Making mailart every day since December 1st, 2010!
Mailart 365 has moved
Thanks for visiting Mailart 365. This site is an archive of mailart produced by artists doing mailart 365 from December 2010 to August 2016. As of July 2016, we moved to a new and more modern site at www.mailart365.com. Come on over and check us out there
One of my favorite postcard swaps is the One Image swap. Using a rubber stamp, a single image is stamped on a blank card and the sender has to build around that image and mail it back to you. My image this year looks like this:
It was stamped in random places on the 4x6 card. No two are the same.
These are the envies:
Addressing the flap side allowed me to stamp the front side so the recipient can use the image in their creative endeavors:
This piece was to be created using any medium other than paper, but was okay to be paper-backed for support when mailing. I stitched a fabric collage, added ribbon and rick-rack and topped it all off with buttons and leaf trim.
Apparently, I'm off to a sad start, as I find I did not scan the image of this piece prior to posting. :/ It was similar to the image above, as it came from that series, and was sent to the Netherlands.
Inside this envie was an ATC collaboration that began with Aunia Kahn, went to Moan Lisa, to me and back.
This completes my first 365! I am, once again participating, as of May 28th. Those posts will begin shortly. This was a grand adventure. One that was not without pitfalls, but I am glad to have stuck with it. Thanks to all those who have commented on my work over the last year. :)
This envie was created using the hand-painted tape a friend made and sent on another envelope. I re-used it here and built upon it using Indian paper scraps and pens. I really liked the movement of the piece.
Finished rounding out my 365 on May 27th! Whoot! Go me! Been having a difficult time posting. Hoping to catch that up with a mega-posting session here, today.
This envie held a couple of add and passes:
