I sent this to my boyfriend who went onto to be my husband and now I'm sending it back this mother to show how far we've got on our studio.

Mix and match China, map of Shanghai over Yangshuo landscape.

Made from an advert highlighting the delights of Taiwan (the big and small hearts), an odd bit of wrapping paper, an image of a model and shower gel advert/strapline, all to shower you with kindness. Oh yes, and how could I forget the cute kitten in the bottom left hand corner!

Read the Guardian newspaper and selected a sentence.  Used an old (saved) magazine to create my mail art message. One of the things I have said to my high school students is that mail art is an opportunity to share the political issues that are important to you.

October 16, 2011. More BLUE for Mariano. "It's in the water" ;-) The
papers were painted with tones of blue and then, in this case, I torn
some "Greek islands" for added details.

Letters cut out from a sheet of craft paper covered in French writing, which I got from the lady whose guest house we stay in when we go to Scotland and who said I could use it, so here we are almost two months after getting it! Very Ooh la la!

I have a friend who wrote a book called "Help, a bear is eating me". Naturally, I need to send this to him.

There is still Vietnamese ephemera to come.

I'm trying to catch up and seem to be doing at a butterfly pace.

Went down and "occupied" Portland last week. Good fun. I like the image of the little winner and the page from the stock market page of the paper says "Most active gainers and losers". Hopefully the balance of those two will change a bit.

October 15, 2011. Just BLUE. There are also a few cards from my "blue"
series that I am sending in October. This is BLUE for the Greek
islands and the Greek sea. It goes to Mariano in Italy, for his "Blue"
group. I kept it minimal, the next card has the added Fluxus sticker.
