Sept.20, 2011 a,b,c. Three cards are being sent for today. I shall
continue to have the "accent" circle and also a fragment of the map of
Paris. Trying to always add an image on each card as well. These
photos come from a tour-excursion pamphlet.
I made this for swap on Swap-bot. That was a series of Alphabet ATCs. I know I know the alphabet starts with letter A but by the time I discovered the swap they were already on H. I still didn't manage to do letter A :(
I hope I'll be able to finish this alphabet series. I am known for starting things and not finishing them :D
It's always good to take a total mish-mash of images from magazines and packaging (I had those vegetarian bean burgers for dinner and very nice they were too!)then find a piece of text to go with it. They all seem rather keen to try the burgers but too late, they've all gone!
Sept.19, 2011 a+b. Two cards being sent from beautiful Paris for
today. The large circles are from Mim and so the first card is sent to
Mim. The circles are really a nice collage element that Mim has sent
me, and I thought it would make a nice accent on my Paris Mail
Art....a French accent ;-)
I had a technical glitch with my internet on Friday - it wasn't working at all :( and only managed to fix it today so as a result I have fallen behind a day or two but never mind. Probably should have gone and joined these stamps at the Hotel Concierge!
Sept. 18. 2011. Beginning my on-the-road mail art from Paris. This
collage is made with punched paper and little punched circle from
Angie and Snooky, and is being sent from Paris to them. The larger
punched circle is from Mim! My "travel" cards will have this circle
I'm sorry about the lack of updating. I'm actually around #230 in my creating for this project. I'm going to try to be better about being on blogger/IUOMA. Lots going on lately (school started, work's really stressful, vet appointments, etc.) but I'll be better I promise!
Make sure you guys sign the petition that I found the link to through Pamela's page. It's so important that we show how much we appreciate/utilize the mail to whoever we can.
I'm going to make a mail art envelope and write a handwritten letter to my congressman to see if he will change his mind about signing the bill. I encourage you guys to do the same. You know it will stand out!! :) Here's to mail. <3
Took this photo when I was eight years old, during a family road trip to Colorado. The camera I had made these awesome little square photos - though I cut it down to a more oblong shape for this postcard.
Now this is a special one. This card made me one of the spotlight designers on 365 Cards. That is a great site for inspiration. And more than that this card won me the prize underneath. What a great day that was.
