Sent to a teacher on the Great Big School Swap. I drew this in a really boring meeting at work with the intention of sending to a teacher in the swap, but had no idea who. It just so happened that when I got home, I had a message in the @schoolswaps twitter account from one of the teachers saying that she had received some post from Korea, and this teacher had Eeyore as her profile picture! One free postcard your way Miss!

The card I used was for a zombie cartoon. I figured that as this was being sent to a school it probably needed to be toned down, so I pasted on some strips from the Amnesty International magazine on the back and edited out the URL with marker pen. Last thing I want is for a bunch of kids to point out that the card made them go and get into the undead!

OK, the photo quality on my cell phone is neanderthal. But, you get the picture (pun intended). It's an envacordion. Spell it how you want to. Some call it an envalopion. This gets tucked into my daughter's luggage, to be unearthed somewhere in the Himalaya.

Yes, it is a bunch of envelopes licked together, collaged, adorned, ornamented. I'm thinking of an envaccordion add and pass. Anyone interested?

A North American Rock Bass cruises towards the beverage bar. Some scientists believe that mug-fish do feel patriotism; others think that they are driven by instinct to the Dollar Store, where they merely take advantage of overstock deals on decorated mugs, not distinguishing between national flags, or even regional jingles, such as "I Love NY," or "Virginia is for Lovers." All agree, however, that further studies are needed. Not sure where this will be sent - probably not Canada. Don't want to insult our dear neighbors with my scrawny little maple leaf... it's an easy drive from Canada to Cohoes!
A shoal of stars-n-stripes Butterfly fish for Independence Day 04 July 2011 (#130)

We really don't know what's happened! There we were swimming along quite happily when all of a sudden we were given some tea in these stars-n-stripes mugs and now look at us!!!
Happy Independence Day from The Butterfly Fish Brigade. More 4th July stuff on the Positively Postal website.
Mailart365-Day 119 front...Going South

I am actually up to number 150, but I don't want to slam them all here on the Mailart365 all at once..
A swap-bot friend sent a book cover with the beginning of a collage and asked that I make my mark (s) and send it back.
This side has old book bits, vintage stamps and selvedges, an old newspaper ad from 1947, an acetone transfer from a scientific clip-art book, and a couple of koi from a California dumpster.....

I didn't add much to this side...just the exercising lady, a bit of map and some fish.

Never one to waste paint, I flipped the wet stencil from the last card over on to this one.
This is another example of a card acquiring more layers as it hangs around here...

I like to just keep adding to my recycled cereal box backgrounds for a while until they are worthy of being cut into postcards. This one ended up looking like rocks, so I added the graffitti.
#145 Haunted House
Sunday, July 03, 2011
This is another case of you should pay attention to what you are cutting out. After it was glued I noticed the door said "unhinged the doors" I thought how cool is that but then I noticed the window had the words "mourning, call, died, body" and the other side of the door "number of bones." So this house may be haunted!

Pos, this is for your edification. The North American alewife fish, is observed here carrying its stars-n-stripes mug, apparently heading for a refill. Are all of the mug-carrying fish tea-drinkers? Do some prefer coffee? These questions, and many others, will occupy the minds of fishologists until nature deigns to reveal her answers.
