Managed to get 3 extras done yesterday. Maybe I will catch up with the herd! This is for my 6yo great-nephew. The front shows a skeleton of the "Cohoes Mastadont," all put together and standing up.
I forgot to block out the address before photo-ing. Not much more to this - colorful oxoxoxox's. Figure I'd go easy on the little ones, at first!

You guys seen those little ads on the PO counters? I stole a bunch. :X

Yet another round robin mailart zine page. We are nearing the end of the swap and the booklets are getting fat!
Math, numbers, and fish for Kim.
Andy's baggage claim sticker, 1960's math book, 1880's ledger page, vintage stamp, and math on the back of an old envelope....oh yeah, a fish from Carroll's dumpster koi magazine!

Kati's Round Robin Zine. Her theme was snail mail. I used acrylic paint, gesso, paper napkin and clipart snails for her "snails in the mail".
I forgot to scan some of the other inside pages...I guess they'll just have to be a surprise!

Did this on one of those annoying subscription cards that are always falling out of magazines, or worse, making it hard to flip through them quickly! :) Revenge is now mine, with mail art! I love the look on my face here: self-satisfied, and proud to be a mail artist! Next time I will put feet on my tote bag, because it looks like it is walking ahead of me.
And I must remember to buy post card stamps tomorrow. I did put my little mail art 365 badge on here after taking the photo.
#153 Changing visions
Sunday, June 26, 2011This mail art has movable parts and it can change at the whim of the viewer. It was a little long for my scanner, so you are only seeing part of it. It folds over and is constructed so some parts move, revealing or covering what is below. It is a prototype for a larger piece. Mail art is a great way to try things ideas out and see what works and what doesn't. I kind of wish I had taken a photo before I mailed it off.
